SNRRA mandates a multi-layered 'Defense in Depth' strategy for all radiological facilities. This includes stringent shielding requirements, mandatory real-time dosimetric monitoring for all personnel, automated interlock systems for high-dose areas, and quarterly third-party safety audits. Facilities must also maintain an updated Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) approved by the Authority to ensure maximum protection for both workers and the public.
